WHAT IS THE CLM?

WHY THE CLM?
MISSIONS THROUGH BUSINESS
TERRA NOSTRA CAFE
There are 15 steps divided into three meetings; we recommend meeting every two weeks. If you don't cover all of the programmed steps for each meeting, the Timothy still needs to finish Individual Training as homework. Each following meeting will start with comments about the assigned homework.
Note: The Timothy must finish the first homework: "Why Timothy," before the first meeting.
Name of the Timothy
Go over the homework
a.) How are you? How was your week? What has God been teaching you this week?
b.) Process the homework. What stood out to you? Do you have any questions or doubts about this? Do you agree with the content of the homework? Now what? How can you use this to help you now and in the rest of your life?
Think about your job right now. Do you see a way to serve God right now through your work or school?
There is no difference between the sacred and the secular if you are working to bring glory to God.
Pastors and missionaries are important, but they're only a small part of the body of Christ. Do you imagine a body like that? (Show the image of Dedin.)
Can we fulfill the Great Commission with only a few Christians? NO! God wants to use each one of his followers with their unique gifts and talents to serve Him. Colossians 3:23-24.
If you want to learn how to be more intentional about investing your time for the Kingdom of God, we can put you in contact with our Business as Missions team to show you how to use your career.
Testing an event: What organizations did you investigate and what did you think of them? Do any organizations stand out to you?
Go to estuturno.com. Take some time to look through the database, talk about options, look at pages, etc.
Sign up for an event: Decide what organization to contact.
If by this point the Timothy is ready, let the mission coach coordinator know so they can email the organization, with a copy to you and the Timothy, with the following information.
*If the Timothy needs to investigate more organizations, look at steps 4-10 with discernment.
Name of the Timothy
Name of the Organization
Talent and Interests
Ready for the Race:
Prepare the Timothy for his or her first meeting with the organization.
The coach doesn't need to be present unless he thinks it's necessary.
a.) Figure out what questions the Timothy willl ask the organization. (Making a list could be helpful.)
b.) Make sure the Timothy asks about the responsabilities, expectations, commitment, etc.
c.) Ask the Timothy what it means to be a good ambassador for Christ when it comes to commitment. More than commitment to the organization, talk about commitment to God.
d.) Talk about the possibility tht the organization won't respond or God will close that door in some way, but that eventually God will open a door because it is His will for us to serve Him.
Second Individual Training:
For the Timothys:
Finish the homework "why Timothy"
Contact the organization and set up a meeting time
Start taking responsibilities in the organization or, if you have to wait, take steps to prepare yourself for service
For the Coaches:
Turn in the training log
Make sure the Timothy is in contact with the organization
Keep praying for the Timothy
Be available in case of necessary intervention of any kind
